The Bisson muffler fits very well inside the cowl. Note the use of the MVVS exhaust spacer between the Bisson muffler and the cylinder. This spacer comes with the MVVS engine and is useful here to provide adequate clearance between the muffler and aluminum engine mounts. Click here to read more

The difference in noise between the stock muffler and the Bisson was HUGE, I couldn't believe it the first time I fired up the engine. The best part of it all is that I only lost 100 rpm, going from 6400 rpm with a Menz 24x10 Standard prop to 6300 rpm. This is a small penalty to pay for the big difference in noise.

The Bisson Pitts style muffler is effective at noise reduction but more importantly provided enough pressure to the fuel tank for the engine to run reliably whether the tank was full or low. It's also got to be the lightest muffler for its size I have ever seen. The combination of the shiny Moki engine, shiny Bisson muffler and shiny Tru Turn spinner is itself very aesthetically pleasing and draws a lot of attention. I've considered just flying it around without the cowl so all the firewall forward fanatics can get their fill.

Our sport 60 was a great fit on this Top Flite Contender. With some careful planning you get a nice clean look and all the exhaust stays off the wing. It's always nice to do less cleaning.

Sam's SMC 38% Giles 202. "Inside I'm running a 3W-120 TOC version twin. It's of an older style, but still produces good power. I'm running a Mejzlik 29 x 10 prop on it. Jim Bisson from Bisson Custom Mufflers made my exhaust for it....The motor runs and sounds great!"

Andrew Donatelli's scratch built Pitts S2S with a Bisson Pitts muffler on an OS .46SF. The muffler fits nicely inside the cowl and looks appropriate. The engine runs consistently through snaps, spins and other high G manoeuvres. There are more pictures on Andrew's web site. Click here to read more
